Hailing from Atikameksheng Anishnabek Thea May is a 26 year old singer songwriter. Thea performs in an acoustic duo here in Sudbury ON, over the past 1.5 she has managed to perform over 150 live shows. Currently writing her first EP with Duo partner Kyle Gagnon. Genre influences such as top 40, EDM, trap, alt rock, and hip hop, Thea sings with soul from before her time, she fuzes today and yesterdays influences together such as Janis Joplin, Stevie Nicks, PInk, Ed Sheeran, Alessia Cara, The Chainsmokers. Thea began her journey in music as a child, she got her feel of rhythm and beat from being a competitive dancer for most of her childhood and teen years. Her biggest musical mentor is Julian Cote, he saw something in her from when she was small, he started her off in the recording studio where she helped him write and perform music for his wife's films. It wasn't until Thea's early 20's where she hung up the dancing shoes and decided to focus on music. Till this day her and Julian do musical projects together. Thea hopes to complete her EP and branch out of Sudbury and play live anywhere she can.
