Cultural Industries Ontario North is pleased to announce their collaboration with the Polaris Music Prize Festival on a gala showcase called Northern Sound Exchange taking place in Sudbury on September 4th at Knox Hall. The event will feature performances by a long-listed headliner act paired with (2) emerging musicians based in Northern Ontario.

CION is also issuing a call out to identify the (2) Northern Ontario based musicians who are interested in performing at the gala. The event is designed to create space for artists, presenters, cultural workers, and audiences to come together to explore the future of Canadian music beyond traditional industry centres, building pathways and carrying the festival’s impact forward. This event will bring the Polaris Festival to Sudbury through a regional gathering designed to support artist discovery and industry dialogue in Northern Ontario.

The event will take place at Knox Hall on Friday September 4th, in Sudbury, ON.
