It's a bird! It's a plane!
By golly, it's actually Melanie St-Pierre… and she's making her way across Northern Ontario to meet as many music sector friends as humanly possible!
After successful spells in Sault Ste. Marie and Timmins late last year, sights are now set on the Bays for the “Next Stop: Northern Ontario” networking tour. Coming up first is a stop in North Bay from February 17-19, followed by Thunder Bay shortly after (details coming soon!)
But before peeling into town, Melanie's sending out some feelers: Who wants to hang?
Musicians, sounds engineers, festival organizers and more can fill out a form to lock in an in-person meet up for a free consultation & catch-up session on all things music, including, but certainly not limited to:
- Getting Tour Ready
- Showcase Opportunities
- Digital Marketing Dos and Don’ts
- Album Release Strategies
- Funding Applications
- Music Rights and Royalties
- Team Building and Partnerships
About "Next Stop: Northern Ontario"
With the launch of "Next Stop: Northern Ontario", we're excited to unveil new development priorities that emphasize interconnectivity across the region. This program will see CION's Lead of Music Sector Development travel to four (4) northern communities and host multi-day meet-and-greets to grow new roots in local music scenes.
By registering ahead of time, community-based music friends (like musicians, videographers, sound engineers, festival organizers, live-music venue owners, etc.) can make sure they catch Melanie St-Pierre when she visits their community and set up a time to chat.
Got ideas for Melanie? Complete a registration form above and let her know!
Upcoming dates include North Bay (February 17-19) and Thunder Bay (coming soon), following stops in Ste. Marie (November 4-6) and Timmins (December 1-2).
