Take your film or television project to the next level with The Optimal Pitch: an intensive online masterclass and workshop designed to help creators visualize, refine, and present their creative ideas - just in time for the NOMFAs!

Led by veteran broadcaster Kevin Wright (former SVP Programming, THE MOVIE NETWORK, HBO CANADA, FAMILY CHANNEL), this edition of the highly-successful program is for Northern Ontario-based filmmakers, offering hands-on guidance toward elevating stories, clarifying visions, and crafting compelling, industry-ready pitches.

Participants will be invited to put their knowledge to the test, pitching directly to Kevin online or in-person at the NOMFA conference in Sudbury.

By the end of this program, Kevin - who has commissioned over sixty television series - will help participants:

  • Develop the core component of their pitch, including credentials, creative, and “the ask”;

  • Identify the key narrative elements of their Optimal Pitch;

  • Learn to anticipate and strategically respond to questions;

  • Receive real-time feedback on the good, the bad, and the “needs work”.

Applications for The Optimal Pitch: NOMFA Edition are open until 5 PM (ET) on Friday, May 8, 2026.
