ABOUT

Josh Odair is a Northern Ontario singer-songwriter carving out a distinct lane in dark Americana, blending raw storytelling with a gritty, rock-informed edge. Born in Blind River and now based in Sudbury, Ontario, his music is built on tension, reflection, and cinematic storytelling, trading polished perfection for something far more honest. Drawing influence from Colter Wall, The White Buffalo, William Elliott Whitmore, Leonard Cohen, and Amigo the Devil, Odair has steadily built momentum through independent releases, live performances, and growing media support. He has shared stages with artists including Brian Byrne (I Mother Earth), Tara Byrne, Chris Koster (The Glorious Sons), and Skrizzly Adams, and has performed at venues across Ontario, including Toronto’s legendary The Cameron House. His latest single, “Brother, Brother,” has received airplay on community and campus radio stations across Canada, from St. John’s, Newfoundland, to Prince George, British Columbia, while earning media coverage from Exclaim! and other publications. Now working with award-winning producer Shawn Moore, Odair is building a catalogue of interconnected songs rooted in dark Americana, creating a cinematic world that continues to expand with each release.
