Summer Job at the Algoma Conservatory of Music

We have positions open for two Administrative Assistants this summer at the Algoma Conservatory of Music.

Applicants must be full-time students. University/college students preferred, however, high school students will be considered.
Summer position - 7 weeks, 30 hours per week, $12.50 per hour, some flexibility in days and hours, ending in August.  Flexible start and end dates (June through August).
Examples of work required:
Assist with preparation of student materials, clerical work, mailings, summer music camps, Conservatory displays in the community, fundraising campaign, building tours and student demonstrations, organization and maintenance of teaching studios and reception areas (may include some cleaning and painting)
Good communication skills, well-organized, self-motivated, ability to work well with a team of several other students and Conservatory staff, basic computer and typing skills and familiarity with Word and Excel.  While not required an interest in and knowledge of music is an asset, as well as graphic arts skills and access to a vehicle.

This free webi­nar aims to share focused infor­ma­tion on Media Arts for north­ern Ontario artists and orga­ni­za­tions.  We will be dis­cussing the OAC’s grants and ser­vices, as well as MANO’s role and ser­vices within the provin­cial media arts sec­tor. Invited media arts orga­ni­zation Near North Mobile Media Lab will share with us their lat­est project encom­pass­ing six com­mu­ni­ties across north­ern Ontario.
